Empowering Learners

Our Story

At Triple Thread Business, we’ve walked the path we’re now offering to others.

We’re Claire and Sonja, two educators who felt compelled to build a business that allows us to use our experience and skills to do the work we’re passionate about: supporting people with learning difficulties through structured, evidence-based language and literacy intervention.
We see functional language acquisition as central to unlocking opportunities for people, regardless of their age, to eliminate barriers and have the freedom to make the choices they want about their futures. What we have created in Triple Thread Learning is a business that’s grounded in best practice, shaped by our on the ground experience, and flexible enough to fit into our lives, not take them over. It has brought back the joy of all the reasons why we became teachers in the first place; to nurture, support, educate, elevate, challenge and also champion growth.
We’ve spent over 50 years combined in education leading learning support, working with students and families, delivering professional development, and consulting in both public and private schools across Australia and internationally. Along the way, we’ve trained in the most respected structured literacy approaches including being accredited through the Australian Dyslexia Association and Sonja has trained through the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators in the United States at the Certified level. She is an accredited member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy which has built deep, practical expertise into our day to day practice.
But what sets us apart isn’t just our credentials, it’s that we’ve done what so many educators want to do: stepped out of the system and built a thriving, purpose-driven business from the ground up.

Core Values

Today, Triple Thread Business is built on three key threads:

Young children engaging in fun learning activities at a yellow table in a classroom setting.

Licensing

We support educators who want to streamline their own structured literacy business or to start their own through our licensing model. It’s a way to join a like-minded community, access a bank of practical resources, and create something meaningful with the support of others who’ve walked the same path.

Structured Literacy Training

For those just starting out or looking to deepen their knowledge, we offer structured literacy training that’s grounded in the science of learning and forged from real classroom and intervention experience. Our training bridges the gap between theory and practice in a way that’s clear, supportive, and actionable.

Educator Business Course

We’ve learned a lot from building our own business from the ground up, and we love sharing what works (and what doesn’t!). Whether you’re starting fresh or refining processes around what you’ve already created, we offer tools, strategies, and support to help you shape a business that reflects your values and makes an impact in your community.

We’ve developed the systems, training, and tools that make it possible to run a business that enhances life choices for clients and in turn, brings real satisfaction for the educator behind it. We know how to balance quality intervention with business growth because we’ve done it. Now, we’re building a supportive community for others ready to do the same.

If you’re an educator looking to make a greater impact, work with flexibility, and build something of your own without starting from scratch, we’re here to work with you to reveal the potential that is within your reach.
